Beauty And The Geek
Jyothsna Chakravarthy (you know her perhaps from this Elle India cover), was recently featured in Vogue India magazine’s ‘Age(less)’ issue.
The model, 22, talked about growing up “a geek.”
“I wore glasses and braces,” she says, “and for a really long time I was one of the shortest in my class.”
Today, she’s 5 foot 9, and one of India’s most sought-after runway models.
But Charkravarthy, who went to college in Bangalore, didn’t think she’d have a career in fashion.
“Sometimes I feel I’m overqualified to be a model,” she says. “I even considered being a surgeon, a scientist, or a secret agent.”
